Here’s why black entertainers are taking over primetime television with excellence

The nominee list for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards was released yesterday and we absolutely cannot keep calm because a whopping 30 black actors collectively made history with their nominations!

Presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Emmys is one of the most prestigious annual primetime television awards ceremonies in the United States. This year’s ceremony is scheduled to take place September 17.

Some of these entertainers have received double nominations for their role as actors or directors and even producers. Others shows have grown from one nomination to three in a span of few years, indicating the excellence of these productions.
