Viral fitness influencer Ashton Hall has spoken out about people imitating his morning routine and regular content, stating that he was born to lead and that he’s broken the internet simply because he’s ‘doing something good.’

Hall went viral last week after social media users widely reacted to his ‘ridiculous’ morning routine videos that showed him preparing early for his day by reading books, exercising and taking a bath in the water partly filled with ice.

Hall began to face backlash over his routine only days ago, particularly on X.

However, that backlash and the viral moment have triggered an entire trend this week, with many other influencers and social media users imitating his style and routine in clips.

The fitness influencer took to his social media platforms to weigh in on the conversation of people stealing or imitating his content and routine, saying: “I came here to address the nonsense. So many videos are being sent to me. Duplicates of my videos, and so this is for the creators sick and tired of their work being copied. Listen well.. You’re either going to be a leader or a follower. You have to choose one, and being a leader means people follow you. I realized God has me here to lead, and not to follow anyone.”

“That is exactly what I am going to do. I’m not perfect but I used to get pissed off. Seeing my content copied. I was blocking anyone doing anything similar to me. How could they copy my work? I work so hard. What’s wrong with them.. But I realized people followed Jesus because he was great. If you’re doing something good, it should be a great thing. So if people are doing what you’re doing, you’re doing something right.”

Ashton Hall has garnered a massive following over the past months, with over 2.93 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and it is no surprise that he’s come out to react to the noise and trend he initiated.

Although the viral fitness influencer may just be rushing through tasks or splicing clips incorrectly, he is actually the biggest thing on the internet right now and has the last laugh, as Hall nears a billion YouTube views in 30 days while growing his Instagram following to eight million.

Hall has also got 4.8 million followers on TikTok while racking in close to 50 million likes.

To him, he’s somewhat made an impact and will continue to do what best works for his growth, believing his content is what millions of people crave and want to resonate with.
