Jay-Z has made history as the first person to own the exclusive Bugatti Tourbillon hyperwatch, a $340,000 iconic piece designed by famed jeweler Jacob Arabo, also known as Jacob the Jeweler.

The rapper and entrepreneur, known for his love of luxury watches and for having some of the rarest timepieces in the world, was seen at Fanatics Fest’s recreation of the 40/40 Club in New York on Friday wearing a Bugatti Tourbillon hyperwatch, XXLmag.com reported.

Jacob the Jeweler, who has worked with Jay-Z for years now, later shared a video of the billionaire rapper at the event wearing the masterpiece.

“My dear friend @jayz was the first to own the 5 time zone watch. 25 years later, he’s the first to own the bugatti [tourbillon],” Jacob wrote on Instagram.

The watch is limited to only 150 pieces and it was inspired by Bugatti’s Tourbillon hyper sports car worth $4.1 million.

“The 52 x 44 mm case, crafted to resemble the car’s body, features the front grille, side radiator inlets, and large sapphire side windows,” Jacob wrote of his watch’s similarities to the vehicle’s design and technology. “Inside, the watch is powered by a V16 engine block automaton made from a single block of transparent sapphire, a nod to Bugatti’s groundbreaking engine architecture. The 30-second flying tourbillon and retrograde hours and minutes, designed to mimic the RPM counter, are feats of engineering that push the boundaries of horology.”

“This isn’t just a watch—it’s a symbol of our commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and the pursuit of the impossible,” Jacob added.

Three years ago, the Hov’s extremely rare Richard Mille watch drew the attention of the guests at an All-White Fourth of July party organized by Michael Rubin of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Hypebeast reported that the green sapphire RM 56-01 Tourbillon marks the second unique commissioned piece by Jay-Z. The watch reportedly cost $3 million. “The watch’s entire winding tourbillon movement is highlighted by rare green sapphire crystals, different from his first commission of the RM056 Tourbillon in blue sapphire,” the report said.

Jay-Z previously wore a Mille 56 customized with a blue sapphire case which cost $2.5 million. In a piece, Alfred Tong analyzed the specs of the watch and noted that it took 3,000 hours to make the watch.
