SLIGHTLY SMUDGED EYELINER
A little smoky black liner gives a lot of attitude…in minutes! For this look, first line the rims of your eyes with a black liquid liner, such as Tyra Oops Liner and Corrector – Black Black Black. Then, using a short straight or angled eyeliner brush, layer a matte black shadow to set the liner.
One of my favorite matte black shadows is Urban Decay Crave.
Made a mistake? No worries, take a Q-tip and clean up the area. Don’t forget to put mascara on both top and bottom lashes for a finished look –and you’re done!
REVIVED MANICURE
No time to get a manicure but your nails look dull?! My oldie but goodie trick to make your nails look fresh is to add a fresh coat of clear polish, such as Sally Hansen Fast Dry Nail Color.
No time to sit and dry?
Run cold water over your nails. This will definitely help dry them quicker!
METALLIC EYES
A flash of metallic on the eyes will catch the light and takes minutes to create. I noticed this past February at NY Fashion Week that simple looks rule the runway. Line the bottom waterline and upper lash line with a black pencil, using Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner. Next, lightly sweep on your favorite metallic shadow to your lids and watch the transformation! I love using blue or silver metallic shadows — so much fun to play with! Mascara on just the top lashes, ladies.
BLACK GIRLS WEAR RED
Want to look flirty and feel sultry?! You can never go wrong with red lips. Hollywood sisters are rocking red lips with ease. There’s a shade of red for everyone and different finishes. When done right, your lips should be well blended with seamless lip liner and lipstick.
What’s hot right now: red matte lips!
VIOLET EYELINER
If you have brown eyes like me, we’re blessed because we can wear any eye color. I’m loving the color purple as it flatters every eye color and is very easy to pull off. Try wearing it along the lower lash line instead of using it as an eye shadow. This gives a playful yet sultry look. Make sure to rim your eyes with a black Kohl pencil and finish with mascara on top and bottom lashes.

CHOCOLATE LIPS
One of my favorite things about colder winter months is the darker shades I rock on my lips. Having chocolate lips paired up with your favorite sweater is just the signature look you need to fit in to the winter.
We only have a few days left of spring, so be sure to try out a dark lip color.
Since matte is in, pat the lips with a little face powder to set it to take away the shine and help the color last longer.
HAIR I AM
Don’t be afraid to be adventurous with your hair. I love how Lupita Nyong’o wears different hair accessories to dress up her look for an evening on the red carpet. As I shared with you before, my hair is natural, and whenever I get a last-minute invite, I either finger rake my coils to create a hair masterpiece or I quickly pin my hair up into a frohawk and work it!
