American rapper Lil Baby was arrested on Monday night in Las Vegas for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, a felony offense.

The 29-year-old Grammy winner, whose real name is Dominique Armani Jones, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on $5,000 bail, according to reports from TMZ.

A Daily Mail report futher confirms that the arrest came just one day after Lil Baby, who has 36.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify was seen attending Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden‘s 35th birthday celebration at MainRó in Hollywood.

This is not Lil Baby’s first run-in with the law. In 2021, he was arrested in Paris on a marijuana-related charge while accompanied by Harden, ultimately paying a fine to French authorities.

In 2019, he was also arrested in Atlanta for failure to signal, eluding police, and reckless driving in his orange Corvette.

His legal issues actually date back to 2012, when he was charged with possession with intent to sell, followed by a marijuana possession charge in 2013. He previously served two years in prison in 2014 for possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

In addition to his legal troubles, Lil Baby recently updated fans on his forthcoming fourth studio album, revealing that it is 80% complete. The Grammy winner, who has 52.3 million followers across social media platforms, continues to balance his personal and professional life.

He has two sons, Jason, 9, and Loyal, 5, with two different mothers, Ayesha Howard and Jayda Cheaves.

In 2022, Lil Baby reportedly purchased a $10-$15 million bachelor pad in Atlanta, designed by Annysa LaMantia, which includes a 15-foot-wide bed, a private screening room, and a swimming pool.

He also co-owns the Seafood Menu Restaurant & Lounge in Atlanta with his sister, Daja Jones. The next days are expected to key for Lil Baby, who hope the situation sees a quick turnaround to get him back on his feet, producing quality music.
