A Louisiana high school student has earned $4.5 million in scholarships and has been accepted to over 100 schools, according to WKBN News. Kassidy Parnell is a senior at Tara High School in Baton Rouge, where she excelled, earning a GPA of 4.1 and becoming the valedictorian of her class.

Kassidy has been accepted to 106 schools including Oklahoma State, Marquette, Seton Hall University, Loyola University Chicago, Southern University, Saint Louis University, Butler, University of Kansas and Kent State University. Her parents said she has four full-ride scholarship offers and 13 Presidential Scholarships as well as dozens of academic and merit scholarships.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System congratulated Parnell via social media.

“Congrats to Tara High School[‘s] Kassidy Parnell on being accepted to 106 schools! We’re so proud of our #ebrp students,” they wrote on Twitter.

The 12th grader, who loves reading, listening to music and studying cybersecurity, is also dual-enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College. There, she takes computer science classes alongside her high school course load, according to WKBN News.

Parnell is now in the process of narrowing down which college she plans to attend. Her parents said they are not surprised by her success.

“This girl is a hard worker, loyal friend, organized, witty and makes good decisions,” Parnell’s father, Lorenzo Bynum, said. “She loves to learn new things. If she doesn’t know something she will look it up and remember everything about it. She is not afraid to explore new horizons and takes pride in her school and the work she does for IBM. She really makes our job easy as parents.”

Parnell will be graduating on May 18.
