An anonymous Maryland man is laughing all the way to the bank once again after he won his third $50,000 lottery in less than one year by using the same combination numbers. According to the New York Post, the 52-year-old, who goes by the moniker “Big Winner”, claimed his April 13 winning at the Lottery headquarters this week.
The 48548 combination numbers “Big Winner” used for his recent winning were the same numbers he previously used for his other two $50,000 lottery wins. He bet $1.
“It hit last year and it hit again,” he told lottery officials in Maryland. “My wife said, ‘Let’s play this number’ and we keep winning with it.”
“Big Winner” won the $50,000 by playing Pick 5. He told lottery officials he feels most winners stay away from playing after their lucky number is drawn and wrongly think their number will no longer play.
The Charles County man also said he’ll try his luck again. “I play the Lottery all the time. You never know. You can’t win if you are not in it,” he said, adding that he’ll likely spend his recent cash prize on a vacation with his wife.
