Jasmine Arielle Edwards

She is the founder of i-Subz, a recruiting and placement marketplace for substitute teachers and schools who serve low-income students. Having had her first child at the age of 15, many thought she would drop out of school but she persevered and with scholarship packages, she was able to complete college. Her aim is to give students who experience hardships like she did an opportunity to “connect with substitutes who understand their resilience.” Her company, i-Subz, has since launched a pilot in three schools with 20 substitute teachers and recently brought aboard its first paying customer.
