Meet the Texas woman who went viral for having two husbands and living in same house with them

Kenya Stevens is married to two men and seems quite comfortable with her arrangement and even seeks to expand the family. After around a dozen years of marriage, when her first husband Carl confessed to having affection for a coworker, she suggested taking the three of them out to dinner. This was the beginning of her unique marriage.

Kenya and Carl became non-monogamous after Carl recognized they no longer wanted to concentrate on their exclusive relationship, despite a counselor’s advice to the contrary.

She told the New York Post, “My husband wanted several wives. He actually talked to me about this before we got married, and I laughed, like, ‘Whatever!’ I was open to the idea, but if he has the privilege, I would absolutely want the same privilege, which is just fair.”

Kenya and Carl sat down with their three children, who were teenagers at the time, and broke the news of their decision to open up their marriage.

She told the outlet, “Most of their friends’ parents are divorced. So my children were excited that we still love each other and were not coming to have the divorce talk, like the majority of their other friends. They had questions—they wondered how would it work, would they have another father? Those types of logistical questions. But overall, there was excitement, because they have a community to raise them, instead of two very tired parents.”

Her relationship, which was highlighted on the TLC TV program “Seeking Brother Husband,” described how she tries to make it work with both of her husbands — Carl, with whom she has been legally married for 26 years, and Tiger Moonstone, with whom she has been “married” for 10 years — in their shared home.

Kenya claimed that she and her first husband were “not interested in sharing a bedroom any longer” after staying in the same bed for decades. As a result, Carl has his own room in their residence, whereas Kenya shares one with Tiger.

As reported by News18, she clarified that she and Carl are both entrepreneurs, running multiple internet businesses and co-writing books, while Tiger is an investor who spent his days analyzing stock market data.

The throuple have promoted their business, Progressive Love Academy, on several shows where they talk about how they started dating.

And, despite being married to two men, Texas resident Kenya, a self-proclaimed relationships guru and love coach, continues to date and has several partners.

She mentioned, “That’s uncountable. I have many partners, boyfriends and connections. Polyamory is not for everyone because it can be complex in a society where monogamy is a norm.”

Among their three, Kenya is the only one with live-in lovers that she views as partners, even though Carl and Tiger both date other women.

According to Kenya, her two “brother husbands” get along well with one another, and the couples have guidelines when it comes to handling jealousy.

Even Tiger’s ex-wife accepted their arrangement and became friendly with the family, she continued, although it took years of explanation and adjustment, particularly because Tiger’s son had to move in with the throuple.

Explaining why their relationship trumps others, she stated, “We’ve had people going, ‘Why are you doing this? This is wrong.’ We ask them, ‘Have you looked at the divorce rate? It’s 55%. Have you looked at the cheating rate? It’s 66% in the US and 75% in the UK. Forty percent of couples currently married are sexless.’ So, we direct them back to the stats, and ask, ‘Have we beat the stats?’ And the answer is yes.”
