Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is not only good as a musician but a record maker when it comes to business. Her collab collection with Fashion Nova has been an instant hit. According to TMZ, she made $1.2 million in sales in the first 24 hours of sales.

The TMZ report noted that the figure was higher than Cardi B’s collection which was launched in the summer of 2019. Explaining the reason behind the record sales, sources told the site that Megan’s numbers are larger because Fashion Nova anticipated high demand after Cardi’s styles sold out so quickly.

Her Fashion Nova collaboration comes on the heels of her debut album with Roc Nation, “Good News.” The collection focuses on a “premium denim look with corset bodysuits, tops with matching pants, dresses, and outerwear,” according to abc news. The collection has a price ranging from $24.99 to $199.99.

“Not only am I able to bring my signature look to all the hotties out there, but I was able to create sexy and beautiful clothing that fit bodies of all shapes, sizes, and heights,” the 25-year-old rapper said in a press statement. “If you’re a tall girl like me, finding clothes that have savage style has never been easy, until now.”

Megan, apart from music and business, has been speaking up for Black women. In October, she joined the growing list of celebrities to call out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and his handling of the Breonna Taylor case. Taking the stage to perform her chart-topping single, Savage, on Saturday Night Live that month, the rapper paused at a certain point during her set, with the display screen behind her going black and sounds of gunshots ringing. It was followed by the display of an excerpt from a 1962 speech by Malcolm X talking about how Black women are the most disrespected people in the United States.
