Poem: Memories

Dig deep in to yesterdays

Dig deep in to yester-years

We talk of memories

Memories of yesterdays

Memories of yester-years

Memories that bring regrets

Memories that bring applause

Memories that bring joy

Memories that bring tears

Memories of sadness

Memories of happiness

Memories that bring sweet pains

Dig deep in to yesterdays

Dig deep in to yester-years

We talk of memories

Memories speak

Memories haunt

Memories arouse

Memories hurt

Memories kept

Memories vanish

Memories of yester-years

Which teach us lessons today

To make right our mistakes

Dig deep in to yesterdays

Dig deep into yester-years

We talk of memories

Some memories instantly die

Some memories gradually die

Some memories never ever die

But linger and linger

Bringing back memories of yesterdays

Memories of yester-years

Some memories never will die

But linger on in our minds
