Adichie made headlines for her infamous question to Hillary Clinton, trying to find out why she had ‘wife’ on her Twitter Bio. She also made waves for proposing that then just-married Meghan Markle, should be the head of the Commonwealth.
Earlier in the year, Adichie also revealed that she was sexually assaulted by “a powerful man in the media” when she was 17.
