Nigerian pop star Davido‘s music video for his song “Aye” has topped the list of most watched videos in Nigeria on popular site YouTube for the first quarter of 2014. Within it’s first week on the site, the music video had reached over 300,000 views.
Directed by Clarence Peters, the video is shot in a rural setting and tells a tale of love between different classes.
Davido plays a poor farmer who falls in love with the prince’s love interest. Aye shows Davido at his best, showing raw talent in a different direction; cultural, and entirely refreshing.
