It seems being fit and athletic are the key considerations in settling for a partner for Olympic gymnast, Simone Biles. It became pubic news in March that 23-year-old Biles had ended things with fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr. Their nearly three-year relationship was severed because of alleged cheating by the 26-year-old, according to reports.
Biles had announced her romance with Ervin via Instagram in August of 2017 and in similar fashion announced her new beau, NFL football player Jonathan Owens, who is 25.
Last Sunday’s announcement came with photos showing the pair in warm embraces. Owens, who plays safety for the Houston Texans also reshared a photo of himself standing next to Simone on his Instagram Story.
Biles does not shy away from displaying affection for the man she loves as demonstrated with Ervin whom she described as the ‘man of her dreams’. The pair made regular appearances on each other’s social media accounts but when it ended, Biles seems to have deleted all images of the gymnast-turned-WWE wrestler except of one group photograph. He in turn has done same.
Given that everyone deserves love, it’s hoped the August 2 romance will blossom into something permanent. For one, Biles and Owens both live in Texas for work.
Biles’ birthday message for Owens caught the eye of observers.
Her “Happy 25th birthday” Instagram story post came with a photo of Owens giving Biles a piggyback ride with the message “Hope this year brings you everything you want and more.”
Biles and Owens also share a love for dogs. While Owens has an English bulldog named Zeus, Biles also has French bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo with the pair having Instagram accounts for their pets.
