Panla Presents: "A Taste of Africa Event Series" on August 23rd.

Now in its 14th installment, A Taste of Africa brings together foodies, tastemakers, the well-traveled arts & culture enthusiasts to partake in an evening of fine dining, music and networking. Also a great venue to unwind after-work with an outgoing professional crowd and locals just looking to have a good time.

Attendees will be treated to traditional African faire like Suya, (barbecued strips of beef seasoned with pepper, ginger, paprika and onions) , Jollof Rice (a rice dish made with tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, salt and red pepper) and Panla's special African inspired drinks made from Sorrel, Ginger and other traditional ingredients (come try Panla's African martini) .

In addition to food this installment of A Taste of Africa will feature performances by Cameroonian songstress Kaissa . There will be a live DJ mix of Afrobeat, Afro-Soul, Makossa ,Highlife, Soukous and more.

Panla's A Taste of Africa Event Series  takes place on Thursday, August 23 at Taj Lounge located at 48 West 21st St between 5th & 6th Avenues. The event will be from 6pm to 12am. Admission is $20 ( includes an assortment of African Inspired finger foods) . Buffet style dinner ( including flavorful food from various parts of Africa) will be available for an additional $10. A portion of the proceeds for this installment of A Taste of Africa will benefit The Children Cancer and Blood Foundation.
