Hike on an active volcano

For those seeking an adrenaline rush adventure, a hike on an active volcano is highly recommended. Guatemala has 37 known volcanoes and Antigua has three surrounding it, where two out of the three are active.

Pacaya Volcano is the most trekked volcano because it’s the easiest to climb and no specific fitness level is needed to complete the climb.

Volcan Fuego still erupts today but the trek needs a bit more stamina to finish, especially if one isn’t particularly active. There’s also Guatemala’s tallest volcano Acatenango, which is dormant. The view from the top of these volcanoes is breath-taking.
