Police are on a search for an inmate who escaped from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and boarded a train to realize his plan on Sunday morning.
At about 11 a.m. on Sunday, Port of Seattle Police were alerted to the escape, according to officials.
A contracted agent had attempted to transport the suspect later identified as 28-year-old Sedrick T. Stevenson, when the agent couldn’t hold him at the ticket counter.
Stevenson was wanted on warrants out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and fled the area toward the light rail station.
Reports indicate that he was chased by the agents but they were unable to get hold of him.
It was confirmed by Port of Seattle Police through video cameras that Stevenson boarded the light rail train and then headed north.
The now wanted inmate was then spotted by a Sound Transit security leaving the Capitol Hill station.
Now, officers say he is wanted for escape in the second degree, according to reports.
Officers also revealed that they searched baggage claim, the platform and areas within the airport to clear the area.
