Togo’s presidential elections
President Faure Gnassingbé has succeeded in getting parliament to amend Togo‘s constitution to remove the limit on the number of times a president can run for his office.
On the part, Togo’s main opposition has chosen Jean Pierre Fabre, a man who has placed second twice in elections of 2010 and 2015. But knowing the Gnassingbé family brand is still fiercely popular, Fabre can expect a near-impossible task.
