Popular Houston producer and rapper BeatKing passed away on Thursday at the age of 39. Per Billboard, the news of BeatKing’s death was shared by his manager Tasha Felder in an Instagram post on Thursday.

“Today, Aug. 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla [BeatKing],” Felder shared. “BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever.”

The deceased producer and rapper, born Justin Riley, was said to be an influential figure in Houston’s underground music scene, and his songs were very popular among club-goers. Some of his hit songs include Then Leave and Scream.
