Always use your real name
When signing up for social networking sites, people are often tempted to use unique names. But cybercrime experts say the more you adopt such names, the more you are prone to identity theft, as online fraudsters can use your real names to impersonate you. If you want to use your real name but you realise that it sounds too common, you are advised to include your middle name or initial as in “Mildred E. Taylor” or simply add your profession, like “Prof. Mildred Taylor”.
