We are in 2020 and the girl power flame is still blazing as Queen Latifah is set to star in ‘Equalizer’ series reboot for CBS.

The order for the project has been given a nod. This remake will have Queen Latifah take on the iconic role of Robert McCall who uses his skills and prowess to help those “with nowhere to run.”

The original “Equalizer” aired on CBS between 1985 and 1989 for four seasons. The original show was created by Richard Lindheim and Michael Sloan and the character Robert McCall was played by Edward Woodard.

Denzel Washington played this enigmatic character in two feature films released in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
