LeBron and Savannah James shared an emotional moment with the first responder who helped save their son Bronny’s life during his cardiac arrest incident last year.
In the new Netflix docuseries “Starting 5,” which premiered Wednesday, the couple expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the woman for her quick actions during the medical emergency.
The Lakers superstar and his wife of 11 years detailed the harrowing medical emergency in the latest docuseries, according to TMZ.
In a touching scene, LeBron and his mother Gloria visited the USC Trojans’ locker room. There, he embraced Erin, a training staff member who performed CPR on his son Bronny during his cardiac arrest last July.
“Life saver,” James said introducing Erin to his mom. “Literally.”
He expressed his deep gratitude to Erin who saved Bronny during a cardiac arrest incident last July. James noted that if it weren’t for her and the entire USC Trojans program, Bronny would not be here today, a realization that made him emotional.
“They are the reason Bronny is alive now,” James said, “and smiling and thriving and doing what any 19-year-old should be doing and that’s living out their dream.”
Savannah, who had Bronny at 18, shed tears recalling the incident and expressed profound gratitude for his survival.
LeBron thanked Erin, stating that Bronny would not be here without her and the program. Now, Bronny is making history, sharing the NBA court with his dad as the first father-son duo in the league, and becoming the first in their family to attend college.
“To see my son playing the game that he loves at the collegiate level, but to see where he is as a young man, you’re like, ‘Wow, it could have been, you know, so much worse for our family.'”
