Rihanna has announced that her brand Fenty Beauty is set to make its official debut in China on Wednesday, April 1. The move is considered strategic given the growing importance of the Chinese market, now ranked as the second-largest beauty industry following the U.S.

Rihanna, America’s youngest self-made female billionaire, boasts an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion, largely attributed to the success of her cosmetics company. In the announcement video, she exuded style in a black leather jacket, flaunting her honey-brown hair cascading over her shoulders.

Sporting a natural makeup look, she accentuated her full pout with a bold red lip. She explained, “China – I am thrilled to share the great news… on April 1, Fenty Beauty will officially land. China has such a rich culture that has always inspired me and I cannot wait to share Fenty Beauty with all of you, celebrating your unique beauty.

“Thank you guys so much for making my dream come true and I can’t wait to see you soon,” she added.

Last month, Rihanna shared a teaser of a new short film for FentySkin on Instagram, featuring herself and rapper A$AP Rocky. The video had a 1950s vibe, with black-and-white footage displayed on a moving film reel. Rihanna appeared glamorous with her signature raven hair styled in a pin-up fashion, complemented by a diamond choker and a gold watch.

Fans gushed over the pair as one commenter wrote, “I have never seen her look at any man the way she looks at Rocky,” the Daily Mail reported.

Another said, “Dropping everything but music. I’m still going to watch though.”
