Dakar is the economic, political, and administrative capital of Senegal. Its influence extends across the entire West African region. However, poor planning oversight and management plagues this rapidly expanding economic hub, with many areas suffering from inadequate public services and facilities.

This peninsula city is working to address the effects of climate change and implement innovative solutions to address frequent water shortages and energy disruptions.
