Emmerson Mnangagwa – Zimbabwe
Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa who took over the reins of power from the late Robert Mugabe escaped an attempt on his life after an explosion at a campaign rally.
The attempt which injured his two vice presidents was described as an attempt to disrupt the country’s historic first elections since Mugabe was deposed.
Mnangagwa who currently serves as the third President of Zimbabwe said the act was “cowardly.”
