U.S. Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has been widely praised following her debate with Donald Trump.

Many were impressed by Harris’ performance, with some even declaring her the debate’s winner.

Among the prominent figures who were captivated by her performance is Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT).

The 77-year-old politician described Kamala Harris as “intelligent and capable” following her debate appearance.

Romney, a vocal critic of Donald Trump, took a swipe at the former president, describing Trump’s debate performance as “classic President Trump.”

During the debate, Trump was fact-checked multiple times by moderators for false claims on various topics, including a baseless statement that Haitian migrants were eating pets in Ohio.

“This was classic President Trump,” Romney said. “As for Kamala Harris, most people didn’t know her well aside from a few unflattering clips circulating online. But during the debate, people saw that she’s intelligent, capable, and has a clear point of view on important issues, and she demonstrated that time and again.”

Even before the debate, Harris had been gaining voter support, with many pledging to back her in the upcoming 2024 U.S. elections.

Her debate performance is likely to boost her numbers further. Though this is a U.S. election, the global community has shown significant interest in the outcome, eagerly anticipating what some call the ‘U.S. judgment day.’
