Former Oklahoma State football star Justin Blackmon was arrested for public intoxication, but authorities had to call for a larger vehicle as he couldn’t fit in the standard squad car, according to a police report obtained by TMZ Sports.
The 35-year-old’s mug shot quickly circulated online, with fans pointing out his noticeably changed appearance.
According to an incident report, Oklahoma State University police responded to a call around 1:32 AM Saturday about a “larger black male” lying on the ground.
When officers arrived, the man—later identified as former OSU star Blackmon—had entered a campus building. Police described him as unsteady, smelling of alcohol, and wearing wet clothing.
When questioned, Blackmon said he was trying to walk home, though officers noted his speech was slurred and confusing.
According to the police report, Blackmon repeatedly told officers he was heading to “Stillwater,” but when informed that it was a town and not a specific address, he admitted he didn’t live there, responding, “You got me.”
Moments later, Blackmon turned around, placed his hands behind his back, and was arrested for public intoxication.
Cops noted two sets of handcuffs were used “due to his body size and the girth of his wrists” … and when he was escorted to a patrol unit, he was “unable” to fit in the back seat “due to his body size,” according to the report.
Police eventually called in a larger patrol car to transport the former NFL player to jail after his arrest for public intoxication, citing his size—listed at 6’2″, 230 pounds, about 20 pounds heavier than during his playing days.
