They are not Islands
Yes! The Cayman Islands in fact are not islands at all. Together they form part of a Cayman Ridge that is over 7,500 m high. It could be likened to the size of a very large mountain in the Himalayas sprouting from the ocean’s floor.
Nonetheless, all three islands, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are very flat and the highest point above sea level is just 46.6m at the east end of Cayman Brac.
