Cab Calloway

Calloway is behind the 1938 dictionary, which became the official reference book of jive slang in the New York Public Library. The jazz legend, who was a regular at Harlem’s famous Cotton Club, became one of the most popular entertainers of the 1930s and 40s and even appeared on stage and films.
