Koeksisters
Koesksisters is basically sweet dough fried and soaked in sweet syrup or honey. This braided dough dessert is easy to make. Some are of the view it originates from Indonesia; others say the Dutch colonists introduced it as a variation of their Dutch doughnuts. Grab one from any roadside farm stall for a lovely treat.
