People are fighting back with violence
Due to the lukewarm efforts of governments and security officials, villagers across central and eastern Africa are fighting back the only way they know by killing suspected witch doctors.
Unfortunately, old women, and some men, suspected of ordering the abduction of albinos are also lynched in the full glare of the public.
What this results in is not necessarily a changing of minds about the humanity of albinos. Rather people are literally fighting fire with fire in poor communities.
