Da Brat

Born Shawntae Harris, Da Brat entered hip-hop with her LP Funkdafied, an album which hit the Billboard charts at number 11 with strong sales, making Brat the very first female rapper to score platinum certification as a solo artist, according to HHW. People loved her “spitfire technique” and she became well known for songs like, “What ‘Chu Like” featuring Tyrese and “That’s What I’m Looking For.”
