The year 2020 has particularly been challenging due to the coronavirus pandemic. Black businesses and innovators were particularly the hardest hit as many of them struggled to stay afloat, particularly during the lockdown period.

Nonetheless, some of them have managed to thrive and succeed in the midst of all the uncertainty. Black kids and teens were not left out.

A number of young people created innovative solutions to help make the world a better place; some were to combat COVID-19 while others were tools to fight social injustice.

Below are some of the young innovators Face2face Africa covered this year, and believe have been the most successful.
