Hailemariam Desalegn – Ethiopia

The former Ethiopian Prime Minister, until his resignation this year, oversaw months of internet ban in the country to quell anti-government demonstrations in Oromia and other parts of the country.

New Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali ordered the restoration of internet across the country, a day after the resignation of his predecessor, as part of measures to bring peace to the troubled country.
