Nigerian Prince
This film by director and producer Faraday Okoro debuted at the Tribeca film festival early in the year. The story focuses on a Nigerian-American student sent back to Nigeria to go to school. In his quest to go back to America, he partners with his cousin to run an email scam. The story goes beyond the scam to interrogate aspects of identity, alienation and survival.
The film received $1m from AT&T Presents: Untold Stories in 2017 with a condition that it should premiere at the Festival in 2018. The trailer is not yet out.
