Lord’s Resistance Army
The Lord’s Resistance Army was declared a terrorist group by the United States after it caused fear and panic in Uganda and some parts of the continent. A group which has been active since 1987, it was formed with the primary agenda of establishing a multi-party democracy in Uganda.
Led by its founder, Joseph Kony, it has been accused of widespread human rights violations, including murder, abduction, mutilation, child-sex slavery, and forcing children to participate in hostilities.
