Sena Sabine Mensah

She is the mother of the current leader of Togo, Faure Eyadema, who has been president since 2005. The 51-year-old acquired his father’s seat after he passed away in 2005. Gnassingbe has ruled Togo for more than 15 years, and critics want him to go, seeking an end to his family’s over 50-year grip on power. There have been protests in relation to this, where several died and others got injured. Earlier this year, a group of women called on his mother, Sabine Mensah to convince her son to listen to the concerns of the people and do the needful.
