Africa has been battling the spread of coronavirus since the pandemic hit the continent early this year. Due to the outbreak, governments have closed their borders. Cities and schools are on lockdown while families have been left with no other option than to self-isolate.

With the lockdown set to last for some days, it has become imperative for families to stay entertained during these hard times.

Below is an Afrobeat playlist from the continent to entertain you as we adhere to strict orders to self-quarantine.  These songs have a different rhythm and style depending on where you find yourself.

1. Fela Kuti – Fear not for man

2. Manu Dibango – Soul Makossa

3. Mariam Makeba – Pata Pata

4. Salif Keita – Africa

8. Cesaria Evora – Sodade

9. Osibisa  – Welcome Home

10. Hugh Masakela – Chileshe
