This tattoo studio is removing Kanye West tattoos for free

Kanye West fans who have inked him on their skin but now want nothing to do with him have been given a special offer from a tattoo removal studio in London. According to PEOPLE, NAAMA Studios shared an Instagram post in November saying it would not charge customers who want to remove tattoos of the embattled rapper and fashion designer.

The studio initially made the announcement by posting a photo of a man bearing a tattoo with the word “Bye” on his arm. It then went ahead to make the offer in the post’s caption. “Yeezy come, yeezy go,” it wrote. “We’ll remove your Kanye tattoos for free.”

In another post, the studio shared a video of a session where a customer was having a portrait tattoo of Kanye removed. “When you have a tattoo inspired by someone you admire and they end up making headlines for all the wrong reasons… at NAAMA we offer an empowering, empathetic, high-tech tattoo clearing experience. If you want a change, we’re here to help,” the studio captioned.

The offer from the studio came in the wake of the backlash Kanye received for sharing anti-Semitic posts on Twitter and Instagram. One of the since-deleted posts included the 45-year-old sharing a screenshot of messages he exchanged with Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the post, Kanye, who now goes by the name Ye, appeared to suggest that Jewish people were controlling Diddy.

“Jesus is Jew,” he captioned, per NBC News.

Kanye then went ahead to share another post on Twitter the following day. But his account was subsequently blocked for violating the social media platform’s rules. “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” he wrote in that post, per The Hollywood Reporter. “The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

But Kanye’s Twitter account was later reinstated by the company’s new CEO Elon Musk. On Friday, the company once again suspended his account after he shared a Star of David image that had a swastika inside, Insider reported.

Explaining the decision to suspend Kanye’s account on Twitter Spaces, Musk said that “at some point you have to say what is incitement to violence because it is against the law in the US.”

“Posting swastikas in what obviously is not a good way is an incitement to violence,” Musk, who also said he “personally wanted to punch” the rapper after he shared the swastika post, added.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Kanye’s online behavior has seen notable companies severing their ties with him. He has also lost his status as a billionaire because of the cancellation of his lucrative deal with Adidas. According to Forbes, Kanye’s deal with Adidas accounted for $1.5 billion of his net worth. But the magazine estimates his current net worth to be around $400 million, down from nearly $2 billion.
