African-Britons who are making it big in the entertainment industry

Nana Richard Abiona a.k.a. Fuse ODG

Known by his stage name Fuse ODG, Nana Richard Abiona is a very popular British-Ghanaian musician. He was born in London and raised in Ghana but returned to the UK for his secondary school education. His certified gold hit single “Antenna”, which was released in 2013 peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart. His highly popular certified gold single, “Dangerous Love” with Jamaican dancehall artiste Sean Paul, which was released in 2014 also peaked as high as number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The platinum-certified “Light It Up (Remix)” single with Nyla and electronic music group Major Lazer peaked at number 7 in the UK Singles Chart when it was released in November 2015. Notable among his accolades are the winner of the Best African Act at the MOBO Awards in 2013 and 2014 respectively. He was also nominated for the Most Gifted Dance Video at the 2013 Channel O Music Video Awards and for the Best Pop song at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.
