One month after it was re-released to streaming services, Travis Scott’s “Days Before Rodeo” has become the highest-selling mixtape in history. Ahead of the release, he announced that the mixtape would be available for streaming in full to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The launch also featured an exclusive digital deluxe version with new tracks, a vinyl edition, and a sold-out one-night-only show in Atlanta where he performed most of the mixtape, according to PEOPLE.

The project generated massive hype, enabling Scott to knock off a couple of new records, including the highest-selling mixtape in history and his fourth consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard charts, joining 2023’s Utopia, 2018’s Astroworld, and 2016’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.

Days Before Rodeo also became the highest-selling rap album of 2024, surpassing Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). However, it didn’t immediately top the charts, as Sabrina Carpenter’s influence prevailed initially.

According to Billboard, Scott has set the record for the highest-selling vinyl sales week for a rap album and the sixth-best week for vinyl sales across all genres since Luminate began tracking in 1991.

In the week ending Thursday, September 19, Scott sold 156,000 album units, with 149,000 attributed to exclusive vinyl sales from his webstore.

At the end of the Blog Era, Scott broke into the mainstream with his 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo. Released independently on Soundcloud, the free mixtape features collaborations with Migos, Big Sean, Young Thug, and Rich Homie Quan.

The tracks were mixed and mastered by Mike Dean and Alex Tumay, with production from Metro Boomin, Lex Luger, FKi, Wondagurl, and Scott himself.

Scott launched his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour across the U.S. in 2023 and recently completed a leg in Latin America.

He will return to the U.S. for a special performance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on October 9.
