Miami rapper Bomb Ass Krissy has signaled her intention to file a lawsuit against Uber after a driver on the ride-hailing platform was filmed pointing a gun at her and another passenger.
The video in question was shared on Instagram on Tuesday, and the incident happened in Hollywood, Florida, per NBC6 South Florida. In the video, the female driver is initially heard appearing to tell one of the passengers that she’s harassing her.
“I’m not harassing you,” the passenger responds before the driver starts screaming at the passengers and repeatedly ordering them to get out of her vehicle. After one of the passengers says “she got them crazy eyes,” the driver is then seen pointing a gun at them and telling them to get out.
The driver is then seen driving off after the passengers exit the vehicle. In the aftermath of the incident, Bomb Ass Krissy, whose real name is Krissy Celess, told WSVN that their back-and-forth went downhill after she tried to give the driver directions.
“I said, ‘Hey, the turn is right here. You’re going to make a left.’ And she was in the middle lane and she was like, ‘Oh, you don’t have to tell me. That’s what I have a GPS for,’ It just escalated so quickly,” she recalled.
Celess also said she felt the driver got upset after she made the comment about her “crazy eyes.”

“We are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this deeply disturbing event and remain committed to pursuing accountability on their behalf,” Celess’ lawyer, Carlos Dominguez, said in a statement on Wednesday, per NBC6 South Florida.
Meanwhile, the Hollywood Police announced they have launched an investigation into the incident. Uber also said they have removed the driver’s access to the app.
“This is extremely concerning. We removed the driver’s access to the app and are continuing to investigate,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement.
Celess said she intends to file a lawsuit against Uber. “I would argue that the Uber driver was extremely aggressive, and the reaction of pulling a gun was extremely excessive,” Dominguez told WSVN. “You know, emotions can sometimes spur out of control because of a simple disagreement, but those disagreements do not necessitate a firearm to be pointed at you.”
Dominguez added: “Part of my job is to make sure this doesn’t happen again, and that’s why I decided to represent these two in this case, and hopefully we can seek some justice for them.”
Dominguez also described the incident as traumatic for the passengers. “Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Simply shocking. I mean, you get the first-person perspective of having a gun pointed at you,” Dominguez said.
Uber in its guidelines prohibits drivers from possessing guns.
