Snoop Dogg has reacted to Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 Super Bowl performance, praising the rapper in an Instagram video.

Before Lamar even started his performance, Snoop hyped him up, saying, “West Coast is the sh*t, you hear me? Get ’em, Dot.” As the performance unfolded, the 53-year-old hip-hop icon cheered Lamar on, exclaiming, “Go head, nephew! He just moved up.”

Having shared the same stage with Lamar at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, Snoop ranked his 2025 performance among the all-time greats. “He’s top three Super Bowl performers right now. He might be number one. If he does that record, he’s number one,” the Let It Roll rapper declared.

After the show, Snoop went even further, calling Lamar the greatest of all time. “[He’s] the G.O.A.T., hands down,” he stated. “Leave him the f*ck alone.”

His praise comes despite Lamar recently taking a subtle jab at him on his last album. The Compton rapper had called out Snoop for sharing a diss track by his rival, Drake, during their heated feud. However, after realizing the impact of his actions, Snoop took to social media to clear the air, tweeting, “It was the edibles,” alongside a laughing emoji. He reaffirmed his allegiance, writing, “West Coast king.”

Meanwhile, Lamar’s halftime performance has sparked mixed reactions online. While many hailed it as a standout moment, others felt it fell short of expectations.

Among those weighing in was Kanye West, who compared Lamar’s set to Michael Jackson’s legendary era.

“A few people have been asking me, ‘What did you think of the Kendrick halftime show?’ and I really loved it. It was my favorite halftime show since the Michael Jackson era—which I barely remember, I’ve just seen clips of it,” the 47-year-old rapper said.

West described the performance as “super simple” yet powerful. “The flag was fresh. When they did [‘HUMBLE.’], the way people’s heads were moving—I was shook. This was super fresh. The man’s voice control and all that. And, of course, they built up the controversy over whether he would do [‘Not Like Us’],” he added.
