Authorities in Colorado have brought charges against a woman who allegedly stabbed and choked his Tinder date after tying him with duct tape. According to Law & Crime, the suspect, identified as Lauren Marie Dooley, allegedly assaulted her victim after she performed oral sex on him.

An affidavit for probable cause identified the victim as a 21-year-old Black male. Dooley, who was arrested on September 28, faces a slew of charges including second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, menacing, and false imprisonment.

Per the affidavit, Colorado Springs Police Department officers were called to a home on the 2500 block of E Cache La Poudre Street after someone contacted authorities for assistance. The individual who made the call was identified as male, and he was heard saying he was “bleeding all over the bed”. A female was also heard talking while the male subject was on the line, the affidavit stated, adding that the victim was later heard telling an individual, “because you cut me” and “you’re going to kill me.”

“Upon our arrival, residents at the apartment advised there was a naked male in the parking lot that needed help,” the affidavit stated. “Officers located [the victim] who was naked and appeared to be bleeding from a laceration on his left arm.  [He] was also actively backing away from the suspect . . . Dooley . . . who appeared to have blood smeared on her arms and hands.  [The victim] exclaimed that Lauren tied him up and cut him.”

The victim told investigators that he went to Dooley’s home to meet her after they established contact on the Tinder dating app. When he got there, the male victim said he had a brief conversation with Dooley before she undressed him and gave him oral sex.

“She then used duct tape to bind [the victim’s] wrists together and ankles together,” the affidavit stated. “[The victim] found it odd, but consented to it. However, when Lauren produced a kitchen knife and demanded he get into her bedroom, [the victim] no longer consented to staying at the residence.”

But out of fear that Dooley “would harm him with the knife”, the victim ultimately “obeyed and got into her bed,” per the affidavit.

“Lauren climbed on top of him and proceeded to use the knife to cut his left shoulder,” the document added. “Lauren then used both her hands to apply direct pressure to [the victim’s] throat for approximately 20 seconds, making it difficult to breath. Lauren stopped, but only to procure a belt that she then placed around [the victim’s] neck. She tightened the belt for another 20 seconds, once more making it difficult to breath. When she took it off, she checked [the victim’s] neck for a pulse.

The victim told investigators that Dooley later made him get inside the bathroom after she got angry because he was “bleeding all over her bed”, Law & Crime reported. The female suspect then used the DoorDash app to order food. But when the person who was delivering the food got to her residence, Dooley allegedly told her victim, “If you scream or say anything, I’ll kill you.”

After she was done with her meal, Dooley retired to bed with the victim and fell asleep. And though the victim ultimately managed to free himself with the knife during that time, Dooley woke up after he hit a table. Police said he eventually managed to exit the home and call authorities.

“When officers conducted a cursory sweep of [the] unit . . .  to see if there was anyone else that needed medical assistance, they observed a kitchen knife near the bed, several blood soaked rags and blood all over the bathtub,” the affidavit said.

Dooley’s court appearance was set for October 6.
