Sherry Hurtado is an acclaimed esthetician and the owner of Blissful Body Aesthetics who previously depended on public assistance to survive. The highly acclaimed beautician has since not looked back after opening her first beauty spa.
Her work ethic and attention to detail have endeared her to people who patronize her work, including her top-notch services. Her salon offers body care services like waxing, vajacial rejuvenation, mini facial, and skin treatment, and also provides take-home spa kits and products.
She has carved a niche for herself in the beauty industry in the last 26 years and has also maintained quality. Since deciding to focus on esthetics, Hurtado has expanded her business to three locations and continues to remain one of the most recommended estheticians in the area.
Hurtado opened her first spa salon in New Jersey in 2021. She has opened a second and recently launched her third salon. She now operates in Woodbridge, Rahway NJ, and Miami, FL.
According to Black Business, the new location has a larger space and can accommodate many clients, adding that it provides professional staff and state-of-the-art equipment for enhancing appearance to the next level while still maintaining safety precautions related to the pandemic.
“The pandemic although was a travesty to most; it was a tremendous blessing to me and my family who once relied on public assistance to make ends meet. The time I spent in quarantine when the world shut down forced me to think about my future my family and the legacy I would want to leave behind,” said Hurtado.
“I decided to take my stimulus checks and invest in my future, my kid’s future. I began purchasing new equipment for my own salon and now I’m offering jobs to not only people in my community, but my daughters are now estheticians as well.”
Despite her relative success, Hurtado is not resting on her ‘small wins.’ She is looking forward to expand her brand until Blissful Body Aesthetics becomes the most sought-after waxing salon in the country.
