The benefit of black loyalty to the Democrats
Black people prefer the Democratic Party and will not change in our lifetimes. We know why – for one thing, Republicans make the choice easier due to the kind of politics they have pursued in the last 50 years.
America’s black people are taken for granted by the Democrats too, as it would seem Biden himself did in the course of the primaries. It has been argued that the black vote is not for free or a given for the Democrats but nothing seems to incentivize support more than a constituency knowing and understanding that it stands a better chance of piecemeal progress with one political party and not the other.
