Yes! They fly against the winds and appear to hold some truly unique deep significance of the countries they belong to, but flags are not merely about having something to fly in the air. The truth is that many countries spend many hours and a lot of money in designing their flags.
The reason flags carry such significance is also because they are a country’s way of portraying itself to the rest of the world. They are also portraits of a country’s historical past.
Flags have been raised in times of battle, but sometimes countries will use a different flag for battle than they do in peacetime.
