The office of Kenya’s Public Prosecutor has recovered assets valued at $20 million from its investigations into cases of corruption and theft of state property.
Public Prosecutor, Noordin Haji, said the recovered lot represents just 1% of some $2 billion in stolen assets.
The cases under investigation are all high-profile reports of corruption. The BBC reports that in recent years, many civil servants and government officials have been cited in corrupt activities.
