KENI Presents: The Young and Fabulous People Auction Off- A Fundraiser Benefiting KENI's Environmental Protection Initiative

Kusi’s Environmental Initiative (KENI)

KENI is a sustainability project to ensuring a clean & safe environment towards malaria control in Africa.  The goal of the project is to reduce the level of poverty as a result of the costs of malaria. This is toward improving the livelihood of the rural poor in achieving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.  In December 2010, the KENI sanitation program successfully launched in four rural communities of the Sekyere South District of Kumasi, Ghana (Agona, Amenase, Bepoase, and Abrakaso), with the help of the Osagyefo Network for Rural Development based in Ghana (OSNERD).

“Young & Fabulous People Auction Off” 2011

The “Young & Fabulous People Auction Off” 2011 is KENI’s first annual fundraiser. All proceeds raised will go towards purchasing supplies and materials requested by the beneficiary communities.  Young leaders of our generation have agreed to lend themselves for the cause by participating in the auction.  The individuals include Emmanuel Gamor, radio host for the Drive Time Show on Sunlight Radio America and Managing Editor for the New Ghanaian Newspaper, Monique Parham, a Social Worker and custodial parent to her niece and nephew, Isaac Boateng and Sandra Appiah, founders of the revolutionary media online magazine Face2Face Africa, Azuka C. Onye, second year medical student at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and many more.

Items have also been donated by some of today’s reputable businesses and entrepreneurs such as Côté Minou African inspired couture, Brownbelle accessories, AM Clothing Co., Design By U Jewelry, Artwork by Tetteh Tawiah, Remix N’ Style, a brand of styling services with a purpose to redefine and customize your wardrobe, and much more.
