A Detroit entrepreneur is changing the face of traditional entertainment with his exclusive entertainment center on wheels. Terence Jackson Jr. converted a 53-foot container into a bowling alley on wheels.

The whole idea of the mobile bowling alley is to provide entertainment to customers anywhere and at a cheaper cost.

According to Jackson, he was inspired to create Luxury Strike Bowling by companies like Amazon and Uber and how they made shopping and travel easy. “These companies made life easier for people and created economic growth worldwide, and I wanted in,” Jackson told The Detroit News.

Luxury Strike Bowling has features quite different from the traditional bowling alley. It offers two fully operational bowling lanes and a sky loft that can entertain and accommodate up to 15 people.

Also, the bowling alley is temperature-controlled, has neon lighting, an 80-inch theatre screen, a sky lounge, and a state-of-the-art sound system that guests can connect to through Bluetooth.

The bowling alley took years to make and was further delayed due to the unavailability of materials during the COVID-19 lockdown period. “It was a difficult process building the bowling alley at certain times because lumber, certain materials and products weren’t available because of the pandemic but we eventually got it done,” the 34-year-old said.

Despite the challenges he went through, he launched the project on June 19th – the Juneteenth.

The Luxury Strike Bowling Alley is available for rent for birthdays, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, private events, bar mitzvahs, small weddings, baptisms and picnics, holiday party, home fiestas, church event and baby showers, according to its website.

Packages start at $500 for two hours and services 30 miles of its Southfield base attract additional fees.

For other entrepreneurs trying to turn their dreams into reality, Jackson said they should dare to be different. He said, “Entrepreneurship runs the world. Focus, commit and continue discipline.”

“Don’t be a product of your environment, and make your environment a product of your greatness.”
